On Thursday, October 2, the Agence Côte d’Ivoire Export and the SEPHIS Foundation signed a partnership agreement aimed at promoting female entrepreneurship and strengthening the capacities of women exporters in Côte d’Ivoire.
Through this partnership, the two institutions will join forces to train 500 women-led businesses in export activities, facilitate their access to financing, and support the development of new international markets. This collaboration is part of the “Export Inclusion” program initiated by the Agence Côte d’Ivoire Export, which seeks to encourage active participation of women in export value chains and to enhance their contribution to national economic growth.
Founded in 2009, the SEPHIS Foundation is an organization dedicated to promoting female leadership and women’s economic empowerment. Renowned for its training, mentorship, and support initiatives, it works closely with public and private institutions to improve women’s access to entrepreneurship and employment opportunities.
The agreement outlines several areas of cooperation, including training and the sharing of expertise for women entrepreneurs.
Through this alliance, the Agence Côte d’Ivoire Export reaffirms its commitment to building an inclusive, sustainable, and gender-balanced export ecosystem, where women entrepreneurs play a central role in the structural transformation of the Ivorian economy. This collaboration represents a major step forward for Made in Côte d’Ivoire, positioning women as key drivers of the country’s economic influence on the international stage.
