REVIEW OF AFCFTA IMPLEMENTATION IN CÔTE D’IVOIRE

From Tuesday 30 June to Friday 3 July 2026, the Côte d’Ivoire Export Agency is taking part in a Meeting of the Expert Group in Assinie, dedicated to reviewing the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) in Côte d’Ivoire.

Organised by the AfCFTA Secretariat within the framework of the African Mechanism for Monitoring the Implementation of the AfCFTA (AFIRM), this meeting brings together public administrations, relevant agencies, and private sector representatives.

The discussions focus on reviewing and amending the draft national report on the implementation of the AfCFTA in Côte d’Ivoire. They aim to assess the progress made, identify the challenges encountered, and formulate recommendations to improve the effective application of the Agreement at the national level.

Through its participation, the Côte d’Ivoire Export Agency, represented by Mr Jean-Marc KOBLAVI, Head of Export Competitiveness and Capacity Building, provides its expertise on issues related to trade development, business support, and the promotion of opportunities offered by the African single market.

This meeting represents an important step in the process of monitoring AfCFTA implementation and demonstrates the commitment of national stakeholders to stronger African economic integration, serving the competitiveness of Ivorian businesses and the development of intra-African trade.
