PCCET (COMPETITION CHAINS FOR ECONOMIC TRANSFORMATION PROJECT)
Côte d’Ivoire has signed Financing Agreements with the International Development Association for the implementation of the Competitive Value Chains for Employment and Transformation Project. (PCCET).
The aim of this project is to provide support for more diversified, higher value-added exports in selected value chains, a more favourable business environment and increased access to finance, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
More specifically, the project aims to create more and better jobs, increase productivity through diversification, international integration, export orientation, market connectivity and capacity building for stakeholder.
The Agence Côte d’Ivoire Export, in charge of for supporting Ivorian companies throughout the export process, including by developing skills and an export culture, promoting Ivorian products and services internationally and seeking out business opportunities, is a stakeholder in this programme.
As part of its areas expertise, which are in line with the objectives of this project, the Agence Côte d’Ivoire Export is receiving support from the World Bank to increase the average value of exports by project beneficiaries in the value chains supported. The seven sectors included in the programme are mango, pineapple, rubber, palm oil, shea, plastics and textiles/apparel.
