As part of the National Food Crop Days (Journées Nationales du Vivrier), held from October 29 to 31, 2026, in Ayamé, the Côte d’Ivoire Export Agency—in collaboration with UN Women Côte d’Ivoire—introduced the BLAATTO digital platform to over 300 women producers, processors, and traders. This initiative aims to raise awareness of the digital tool and support women in adopting it, with the goal of facilitating the marketing of their products.
Digital technology in support of marketing women’s products.
The National Food Crop Days provided an ideal opportunity to bring BLAATTO closer to its primary beneficiaries. During the event, the Côte d’Ivoire Export Agency presented the platform and provided training to participants on how to use it.
Developed under UN Women’s”Buy from Women” initiative, BLAATTO is a digital platform designed to facilitate the marketing of products created by women entrepreneurs, particularly those in rural and agricultural areas.
Through this presentation, participants discovered how the tool can enhance the visibility of their products, showcase their expertise, and connect them with potential buyers. The objective is to leverage digital technology as a complementary tool to improve women’s access to commercial opportunities and foster the growth of their economic activities.
A partnership in support of women’s entrepreneurship.
The participation of the Côte d’Ivoire Export Agency in this event is part of an established partnership with UN Women focused on the development of BLAATTO. On July 31, 2026, UN Women officially entrusted the operational management of the platform to the agency “Côte d’Ivoire Export,” with the aim of strengthening its commercial development and expanding its reach among Ivorian women entrepreneurs.
This collaboration reflects the complementary expertise of the two institutions: promoting women’s economic empowerment and facilitating the commercial promotion of their products.
Through the development of BLAATTO, Côte d’Ivoire Export aims to contribute to greater visibility for “Made in Côte d’Ivoire” products and to open up new commercial opportunities for female producers, processors, and women-led cooperatives.
