The Agence Côte d’Ivoire Export and the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development (AMDIE) are taking their strategic partnership to the next level.
Tuesday, December 23, 2025, marks the official launch of the Cashew Trade Mission, an initiative led by the Agence Côte d’Ivoire Export aimed at boosting trade between Côte d’Ivoire and Morocco, with a structural focus on the cashew nut sector.
The first meeting of this mission was held at the AMDIE premises. Chaired by Ms. Assia BENSAAD, Director of Cooperation and Partnerships, it provided an opportunity to address key issues related to industrial development, the promotion of cashews, and the strengthening of exports between Morocco and Côte d’Ivoire, with a view to complementarity and shared value creation.
The meeting culminated in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two institutions, in the presence of the Director General of AMDIE, Mr. Ali SEDDIKI, and Mr. Jean GOSSE, Director of Partnerships at the Agence Côte d’Ivoire Export. This new step lays the foundations for structured, sustainable, and results-oriented cooperation.
Organized alongside the 2025 African Cup of Nations, Cashew Trade Mission aims to capitalize on this continental showcase to:
- promote the “Cashew from Côte d’Ivoire” label;
- strengthen bilateral economic partnerships;
- Position Côte d’Ivoire as a leading player in the international cashew industry in the long term.
Other strategic meetings are planned until December 25, notably with the Directorate General of Industry, the Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), the National Federation of Agri-Food (FENAGRI), and the Moroccan Exporters Association (ASMEX).
Africa Global Logistics (AGL), a partner of the Agence Côte d’Ivoire Export on logistics issues, is also taking part in the mission, represented by Ms. Annick YAPO, Agribusiness Manager.
Through this initiative, the Agence Côte d’Ivoire Export reaffirms the major role it plays in promoting Ivorian exports, positioning itself as a genuine bridge between the Ivorian and Moroccan private sectors, serving to develop trade and competitiveness in strategic sectors.
