IVORY COAST CELEBRATES ITS NATIONAL DAY AT EXPO 2025 OSAKA-KANSAI

On Friday, June 13, Côte d’Ivoire celebrated its National Day at Expo Osaka 2025 in the presence of Dr. Souleymane DIARRASSOUBA, Minister of Trade and Industry, Désiré Wilfran IPO, Ambassador of Côte d’Ivoire to Japan, and Dr. Kaladji FADIGA, Commissioner General of the Ivorian section and Director General of Agence Côte d’Ivoire Export.

The day began with an audience between the Minister and his Japanese counterpart, followed by the official ceremony.

The official ceremony began with speeches by the heads of the two delegations, followed by a highlight of the event: an exceptional performance by the National Ballet of Côte d’Ivoire for the Japanese audience.

This performance provided a vibrant immersion in the richness and diversity of Ivorian dance and traditions.

The ceremony was followed by visits to the Japanese and Ivorian pavilions.

In the evening, the National Hall stage also welcomed Alpha Blondy, a living legend of reggae and Côte d’Ivoire’s ambassador for Expo Osaka 2025. The artist gave a performance marked by the cooperation between the two countries.

The program concluded with a dinner in honor of Côte d’Ivoire.

All in all, it was a day of cultural exchange and a living tribute to unity and cooperation.
