On Thursday, July 31, 2025, the Agence Côte d’Ivoire Export officially took over governance of the BLAATTO platform from UN Women during a ceremony attended by the program’s beneficiaries.
Developed by UN Women as part of the 𝐁𝐮𝐲 𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 program, 𝐁𝐋𝐀𝐀𝐓𝐓𝐎 is an innovative digital solution that connects women entrepreneurs to external markets.
This platform, dedicated to women, aims to facilitate access to marketing for their products, improve their financial inclusion, and strengthen their integration into both local and international value chains.
The ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including Mr. DAIPO Olivier, Deputy Chief of Staff and representative of the Minister of Trade and Industry, Dr. Souleymane DIARRASSOUBA, and Ms. Adjaratou Fatou N’DIAYE, Resident Representative of UN Women.
As Dr. Kaladji FADIGA, Director General of the Agence Côte d’Ivoire Export, attested in his speech, BLAATTO is much more than just a digital platform. It is an economic empowerment tool that will transform the way women entrepreneurs access national and international markets.
The Côte d’Ivoire Export Agency, now responsible for its management, thus marks a major turning point for the platform’s future. This partnership, signed with UN Women, is part of the two institutions’ shared commitment to continue rolling out BLAATTO, expanding its functionality, and ensuring its institutional sustainability in the service of women in both urban and rural areas.
As it takes over, the Agence Côte d’Ivoire Exporting invites Ivorian women entrepreneurs to take advantage of the support services it offers to ensure optimal use of the platform.
The Agence Côte d’Ivoire Export also reaffirms its commitment to promoting local know-how, women’s economic empowerment, and digitalization as a lever for access to foreign markets.
Together, let’s write this new chapter in women’s entrepreneurship in Côte d’Ivoire!
