On Thursday, October 10, 2024, at the Pullman Hotel, Plateau, Abidjan, the Côte d’Ivoire Export Agency and the CGECI signed a memorandum of understanding to register 150 Ivorian exporting companies on the Afreximbank ATG platform.

African Trade Gateway (ATG) is a multifaceted platform that connects several economic operators by meeting their needs for financing, market research and various international trade opportunities. This initiative offers Ivorian exporting companies the opportunity to connect to a vast network of economic actors, increase the visibility of their commercial offers and facilitate trade between different economic operators on the African continent.

As part of the bipartite agreement, the CGECI will therefore allow one hundred and fifty (150) Ivorian exporting companies to benefit from this platform by covering access costs.
The Côte d’Ivoire Export Agency, in its export support mission, will ensure that the Initiative is operational. As support mechanisms, the Côte d’Ivoire Export Agency will set up a physical “desk” at its headquarters as well as a telephone line and an email address dedicated to assisting beneficiary companies.
During his speech, the Director General, Dr. Kaladji FADIGA, invited Ivorian exporting companies to adopt the ATG platform. He also assured them of the support of the Côte d’Ivoire Export Agency throughout the process of getting started so that they can take full advantage of the benefits offered by the Initiative. Finally, he recalled the importance of this tool which contributes to the development of intra-African trade as well as the promotion of Ivorian know-how internationally.
