On Tuesday 28 April 2026, a delegation from the Agence Côte d’Ivoire Export, led by its Director General, Dr Kaladji FADIGA, conducted a working visit to Ms Fatou SYLLA, President of the Fatou SYLLA Foundation and a recognised figure in the Ivorian handicraft sector. This meeting is part of the Made In Côte d’Ivoire enhancement drive initiated by the Agence Côte d’Ivoire Export, through the reinforcement of the promotion of Ivorian expertise and the development of high-potential sectors, particularly handicrafts.
The discussions focused on the prospects for collaboration between the two parties to further support the visibility of Ivorian artisanal creations, both nationally and internationally. They also provided an opportunity to address challenges related to the structuring of the sector, the promotion of local talents, and the positioning of Ivorian artisanal products on foreign markets. In view of her career and her commitment to the promotion of Ivorian handicrafts, Ms Fatou SYLLA could, eventually, play an ambassadorial role in the Made In Côte d’Ivoire promotion initiatives led by the Agency.
Through this approach, the Agence Côte d’Ivoire Export reaffirms its commitment to supporting actors in the artisanal sector and contributing to the influence of Ivorian expertise, making Made In Côte d’Ivoire a true lever for international attractiveness and competitiveness.
